Get started.
Open the app and go through the onboarding
Download the free Drowsie app and follow the onboarding — it walks you through everything, step by step: signing in, pairing your speaker, and installing any speaker updates. Keep your Drowsie nearby.
Place it under your pillow
Slide Drowsie flat under your pillow, soft side down, and lie down as you normally would.
Play — your way
Tap “Let Drowsie play” and it chooses for you, or pick your own sound. The sound fades out gently once you've drifted off.
Sleep Club
Your free year activates itself.
Your speaker carries a full year of Sleep Club, free — it activates the first time you pair it in the app. No codes, nothing to type.
Step 1 — Sign in
- Bought on our website? Use the same email you used there.
- Gifted one, or bought elsewhere? Sign in with your own email — that creates your account, and the free year is yours.
Step 2 — Pair in the app
- The app finds your speaker and offers your free year — confirm it and you're in.
- Already a member? Pairing simply links this speaker to your account — no double charge, ever.
Each speaker carries one free year, for whoever pairs it first — so a gifted Drowsie brings its year to the person who receives it. After your year, Sleep Club renews annually so your routine keeps going.
The clever part
How Drowsie learns you.
Drowsie has a built-in motion sensor that tracks how you sleep. Night after night it links the sounds you played to how well you rested, then chooses the ones that help you most. Over time, your routine becomes yours.
- Fades out gently once you're asleep.
- Wakes you kindly in a window you set.
- Chooses for you — or pick your own.
Works with your other apps too. Drowsie plays anything over Bluetooth — Spotify, Calm, podcasts. The autopilot that picks and adjusts sounds for you only works in the Drowsie app, since it can't control other apps.
The light.
A soft glow tells you what Drowsie's doing.

Charging & care.
Charging
- The USB-C port is tucked under the cover — unzip to reach it.
- Charge from any standard USB power source; about 5 hours for a full charge.
- Battery life depends on volume and the settings you choose in the app. Charge when you see the low-battery flash.
Washing the cover
The soft padded cover is machine-washable — just take the electronics out first.
- Unzip the cover.
- Slide out the electronics (they're in their own inner fabric sleeve).
- Machine-wash the padded cover on a gentle cycle, then air-dry.
- Slide the electronics back in and zip up.
Free updates
We improve Drowsie with free updates. In the app: Me → Connected Devices → Update firmware. Keep it nearby and at least half-charged.
If something's off
Troubleshooting.
My phone can't find Drowsie.
Make sure it's on and nearby, Bluetooth is on, and it's unplugged. Press the button once so it appears in your Bluetooth list (the light blinks).
There's no sound — or it plays from my phone instead of the speaker.
Open Settings → Bluetooth and tap Drowsie so it shows as connected — sound moves to the speaker on its own. Then check your media volume is up and playback isn't paused.
It turned off overnight.
The battery was likely low — charge it.
My partner can hear it.
Lower the volume in the app — or press and hold the button on the speaker — and make sure Drowsie is lying flat under the pillow, soft side down.
It won't reconnect.
Open your phone's Bluetooth with Drowsie on and nearby; it reconnects on its own. If not, press the button once.
